Steve Hathaway is a long time San Francisco photographer who specializes in portrait and lifestyle photography for advertising, design and editorial clients.

Steve's interest in photography started while studying art and art history at UC Berkeley. After graduation Steve attended Brooks Institute of Photography known for its strong technical education - a perfect complement to Steve's earlier art education.

A look at his portraits include celebrities, musicians, artists and corporate executives. Steve has photographed many elite athletes as well, such as NFL Hall of Famers Joe Montana, Ronnie Lott and Jerry Rice, Major league Baseball players Barry Bonds, Buster Posey, Greg Maddux and Tim Lincecum and Olympians Kristi Yamaguchi and Brian Boitano.

His awards include GraphisPhoto Annuals, Communication Arts Photo Annuals and Advertising Photographers of America.
Most recently Steve's work can be seen in the 2012 Communication Arts Photo Annual.

Steve stays current with the future generation of photographers by teaching a MFA class in lighting at the Academy of Art University.
